The International Geographical Union (IGU/UGI) Urban Geography Commssion (Emerging Urban Transformations) meetings & International Conference - Multilayered Cities and Urban Systems is being organized from 30th July to 9th August 2009 in Hyderabad, India, in collaboration with Osmania University. This conference is in keeping with the commission's tradition of organising annual meetings and international conferences in different countries of the world with the Commission's approval. The conference would bring to the fore the fundamental and applied research on various aspects of urban landscape. The objective is to provide a common platform to the stakeholders from India and abroad to interact and exchange knowledge, share experiences of success stories in Urban Planning & Development, and discuss constraints, which will mutually help in evolving sustainable perspective plan for Urban Development.
